At Quinta Vale de Fornos, wines are born from an intregated effort between viticulture and oenology.

This red wine is the result of the quality that the Cabernet Sauvignon variety presents in the terroir of Quinta Vale de Fornos.

It features intense ripe fruit and spices notes, as well as balsamic flavours. In the palate, it presents a strong tannic component bringing great depth.

The grapes are collected, judiciously selected and carefully transported in 20kg bins before being crushed. This task is performed at dawn even before the sun rises, to maintain the freshness of the grapes throughout the initial process.

The pre-fermentation maceration and the fermentation are made in small "lagares", traditional granite stone wine presses. The malolactic fermentation is done in stainless steel tanks.



In french oak barrels. The wine is bottled 2 years after harvesting and will mature in the bottle for a short period of time.
