An intense and elegant wine.
Casa Boal Reserve Tinto 2013 is created with Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Sousão grape varieties.
This wine is intense, well structure, complex and elegant.
In order to ensure its highest quality, this wine wasn't cold stabilized and natural sediments might be visible.
Therefore it must be carefully decanted.

VINIFICATION PROCESS:
The grapes are collected, judiciously selected and carefully transported in 25kg bins before being crushed. The must and the pomace are then foot trodden by men for 4 hours in the "lagares", big granite stone wine presses, according to traditional methods. After this period of pre-fermentation, the wine is transfered to open stainless steel tanks where it will stay for 8 days at controlled temperature.
WINE AGING:
In french oak barrels for 12 months and then bottle-aged for a period of at least 6 more months.
